Adrienne received her B.A. from Bennington College and M.F.A. from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Prior to coming to Brown, Adrienne was the Assistant Provost for University Curriculum at The New School University in New York City. Her work there focused on academic offerings that bridged at least two of the five schools, including University-wide minors, dual-degree programs, general education, and the inaugural academic orientation activity for all incoming first-year students. In addition, she oversaw a variety of University operational initiatives including implementation of an institution-wide course catalog and electronic learning portfolio system. Adrienne came to Brown in 2016 to oversee the Pre-College Programs, the undergraduate Summer and Winter Sessions and several college access initiatives. Since her arrival, she has overseen program and operational staff to ensure continued excellence, program development and growth aligned with the University’s mission and goals through providing impactful learning experiences for Brown undergraduate students and young scholars locally and from around the world.
“Each member of the staff within the Division of Pre-College and Undergraduate Programs is dedicated to creating remarkable learning experiences for the wide variety of student populations we serve. Those populations include the University’s graduate and medical students who build their capacity and passion for teaching in their chosen subject matters within the Pre-College Programs alongside Brown faculty and other experts, the University’s undergraduate population who engage in the Winter and Summer Sessions so they can explore courses that fall outside of their concentration requirements, study away with Brown faculty and/or focus on a specific course for an intensive period of time that is required for their concentration, and high school students from around the globe and right here at home in Providence who are excited about learning how to learn alongside their peers through the Pre-College Programs, the Brown Collegiate Scholars Program and our partnership with the National Education Equity Lab. I am proud of the work we do to bring a Brown education to increasing numbers of learners both within and outside of the University’s degree programs. Brown University is a remarkable institution with a vibrant tradition of important scholarship and applying expertise to solve real-world problems. Through engaging thousands of learners each year, we include all of them in this important work.”
