Scholarships

Brown Pre-College offers a variety of scholarship opportunities. Each scholarship type has eligibility requirements which we present broadly here and in detail at each of the links below.

Sibley Scholarships are need-based awards limited to students who are U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents, or who hold undocumented or DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) status and are enrolled in a U.S. school. Scholarship funds are limited and disbursed on a first-applied-first-awarded basis until the funds are exhausted, which could happen before the scholarship deadline. If eligible, we encourage you to apply as soon as you complete your admission application. We cannot guarantee that all applicants who apply for aid will receive scholarship assistance.

PPSD Scholarships are limited to students attending a school in the Providence Public School District, in Providence, RI.

Partner Scholarships are limited to students who are identified and nominated by our established partner organizations. Only partner organizations may identify students who are eligible for a partner scholarship. Students/families may not apply for this scholarship type without a prior partner organization nomination.

Brown Employee Dependent Scholarships are limited to dependents of Brown University benefits-eligible staff and faculty who will have been employed by the university for at least six months by June 1, 2024.

We do not have any scholarship opportunities available to international students for summer 2024.

Brown Pre-College does not provide merit scholarships.

Scholarship Opportunities

Sibley Scholarship awards provide financial assistance to eligible students who could not otherwise attend a Pre-College program due to cost.
Thanks to the dedication and generous financial support of so many partner organizations, Brown welcomes hundreds of Partner Scholars every summer.
Qualified Brown University employee dependents are eligible for an application fee waiver, and if admitted to a summer Pre-College program, have the option of a 20% non-taxable Employee Dependent Scholarship or a 50% partially taxable Employee Dependent Scholarship (30% is taxable to the Brown employee).
