Yolanda received her B.A. in English, Secondary Education, and Ed.M. and Ph.D. in Educational Policy, Organization, and Leadership from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining Brown Pre-College Programs, she was the Associate Director of the Summer Principals Academy at Teachers College, Columbia University, and helped prepare K-12 educators to become certified principals. She has taught students and directed education programs relative to K-12, undergraduate, and graduate school levels and is passionate about educational equity for all, particularly as it relates to K-12 students.
